Mammography Preparation

A mammogram is a special x-ray of your breast(s). Modern mammography equipment is designed especially for this examination and produces only a minimum of radiation exposure.

• The examination is performed by specially trained technologists and takes approximately 30 minutes. During the examination your breasts will be compressed to provide the best image possible.

• Please refrain from applying any deodorant on the day of the examination as it will prevent an optimal study.

• It would be best to wear a blouse or top that can easily be taken off.

• If you have any questions or concerns regarding the examination, please feel free to contact us.
