The History of Greig Associates
The organization first started in the Georgia Medical in 1948. Shaughnessy Hospital was to become an active veterans hospital and Greig Associates provided the radiological services. This relationship continued until the closure of Shaughnessy Hospital in 1994. As Shaughnessy Hospital was involved with teaching medical students and residents, all the partners had academic appointments and were active in teaching over many years. More private offices were acquired and by 1972, Greig Associates provided radiological services at four locations. Three of those offices have now been relocated to newer facilities. Between 1980 and 1994 we also provided our services to St. Vincent's Hospital, Kent Maximum Security Institute, and presently G.F. Strong Rehabilitation Center.
